Jul 22, 2010 - In defense of the belayer, I didn't see any pro in...

jnigro7 Says:

Jul 28, 2010 - I agree, however it looks like he hadn't placed protection yet. So if he had fallen being on belay would have done nothing. Just speculating.

Jul 28, 2010 - On watching it again, it looks like you're right. I didn't pay that much attention the first time around.

acr08807 Says:

Jul 29, 2010 - The easiest way to do that is to wait until you're belaying him.

Nov 27, 2010 - rock part was kinda funny. Puts so much effort into picking it up then just throws it to the ground.

Mar 16, 2011 - Relax people, he was placed his first piece of pro so it didn't matter that he wasn't on belay.

Jan 18, 2012 - @ninjabomber1 k2 doesn't involve much vertical ice climbing...

Ejwoods08 Says:

Jan 21, 2012 - I say, it's always a good idea to fuck around near sharp icicles while wielding ice picks. You only die once!

kadiwc Says:

Feb 14, 2012 - K2 is the toughest mountain in the world till this time and does involve quite a lot of ice climbing, also vertical if you want. you can always climb new (your own) routh.

WilliamTheSilverBack Says:

Feb 16, 2012 - no, k2 isn't hard because of it's technical climbing, it's hard because of the shitty weather, steed terrain, snow conditions and altitude etc...you want hard technical climbing come climb in the alps.

kadiwc Says:

Feb 17, 2012 - born and live in the alps :D almost died in alps, 3 years ago. survived and back living alps :Dbeen in peru climbed alpamayo on almost 6000m, planing new expedition to tibet, i will try to do 7000-7500m climbing and maybe some day everest... and i still think, that K2 west face is one hell of tough motherfucker. :Dmaybe some day when i survive everest :D

StonesTHATdontROLL Says:

Feb 18, 2012 - K2 has the world's hardest route called the 'Polish Route'. Look it up it's cool, scary.

WilliamTheSilverBack Says:

Feb 19, 2012 - by hardest you mean ?? technically, logistically, physically, weather conditions / snow conditions, exposure or statistically ? i'm not much of a "high" mountain guy, what people don't understand about these mountains is they are huge, and you "walk" up...whereas Grande jorasses or Les Droites however you must "climb" up.

StonesTHATdontROLL Says:

Feb 19, 2012 - Erm it's a bit of both, very steep terrain but so so so exposed to avalanche. Of course there are physically harder more technical routes in the world like the grandes jorasses or eiger, but for chance of summiting K2 is the hardest.

WilliamTheSilverBack Says:

Feb 19, 2012 - 8000 are a logistical hell and VERY remote that's why so few people climb them...the alps are easy to access, the Eiger is 3 hours from geneva airport, anyone can get there and it's quite inexpensive to climb it but very few do because it's VERY hard. K2 is very difficult to access and expensive that's why so few people attempt to climb it not because it's hard.
