Apr 4, 2012 - In my opinion, The Experience was the best of Jimi's career. The structure of it showed the best sides of his creativity and sound. Later recordings such as the Band of Gypsies one and 'First Rays of the New Rising Sun' seemed a bit directionless in comparison.

Apr 14, 2012 - man i have to COMPLETELY AGREE:) anything after electric lady land is deeply directionless:( with the exception of the occasional song everything he recorded without chas chandler is kinda second rate! although some of the soundscape studio experimentation on the songs he worked on after chas walked out of the electric lady recordings were exceptional:) 1983 comes to mind ;) but after that he kinda lost his way when it came to producing great songs and recordings! but at least woodstock was WOW

May 6, 2012 - Cry Of Love, Rainbow Bridge and War Heroes have some great songs on them. The full albums aren't up to the standard of the first 3 Experience albums, but songs like Drifting, Angel, Pali Gap, Earth Blues, Room Full Of Mirrors and this song right here match up with anything Jimi had put out before.

May 8, 2012 - yeah man id have to agree that whilst his later albums never compared to the first three! highway chile,room full of mirrors and tax free for example are still very cool for sure:) I men hendrix not quite at his VERY best is still better than almost anyone thats even been anything in music:) and band of gypsies is very cool indeed:) if for no other reason than the univox guitar work on the incredible machine gun:)

May 8, 2012 - Jimi had a lot of material together and laid down, whatever HIS next album would have been, I'm pretty confident it would have been the hottest tracks off the 3 posthumous albums and that would absolutely match up with his Experience albums. Listen to the killer lead on this tune, he was going to town with his music. They were honest efforts to get out what Jimi was in the process of getting together, but it wasn't totally Jimi.
