Mar 27, 2012 - -rolls eyes- I think you missed my point about non-western women, or did you ignore that because it didn't fit with your idea of women being protected little darlings? And considering my sister works at a domestic abuse support group, yes, I know about how many women get abused by their partners, considering I was the victim of attempted rape from my ex-boyfriend, I do understand that rape is often caused by misogyny.

saudisinaudis Says:

Mar 28, 2012 - lol

Sambucca Says:

Mar 28, 2012 - No I didn't miss it, you obviously didn't see the other 2 comments I posted. You say "I was a victim of attempted rape" as if that somehow backs up the manipulated "1 in 4" statistic and justifies the invented notion of there being a "rape culture" which paints all men as potential abusers and demonises male sexuality. This video and the lies it eschews are designed to create a universal feeling of shame among men and to allow women to ride a wave of moral superiority.

Baboosi1 Says:

Apr 3, 2012 - I've never seen this kind of thing as something intended to create a feeling of "universal shame" for men...certainly had no such effect on me. It's drawing attention to the fact that an inequality does indeed exist throughout all levels of society. That doesn't mean there aren't women thinking men SHOULD feel ashamed of their gender for the actions of rapists and wife-beaters...but I've just never understood the feeling of persecution any time attention is drawn to workplace inequality etc.

Sambucca Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - That's because you don't understand (or haven't bothered to analyse) the methodology involved in evaluating these statistics, or questioned them to see how true they really are. You just take every feminist claim at face value, without identifying them as a political movement obsessed with the advancement of women, much at the expense of men. Feminists have manipulated the truth about everything from rape, domestic assault, and unequal pay for their own gains.

Sambucca Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - "It's drawing attention to the fact that an inequality does indeed exist throughout all levels of society."No it's not, it is quite clearly suggesting that societal "inequality" is only suffered by women...at the hands of men. There is not one mention of the discrimination faced by men today, often as a direct result of laws and proposals brought in by feminists. The image of Daniel Craig pulling a wig off his head looking forlorn and embarrased, clearly dictates that men should be ashamed.

Baboosi1 Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - I understand that it's a political movement with very specific goals, and I also understand that men face discrimination just as easily. I don't think either gender should be treated as superior, and ESPECIALLY when that treatment is only achieved through demeaning the other. The advertisement was created to present an argument & talk about women's issues, so I don't see why they would bother to mention discrimination against men. But again, I'm not denying that such a thing exists, either.

Sambucca Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - "The advertisement was created to present an argument & talk about women's issues"You're not letting it sink in. The preported "issues" that women face are largely misrepresented and magnified beyond reasonable proportion. Rape statistics, facts about domestic violence, gender pay gaps; they've all been twisted into a tool to gain sympathy, financial support and political power. Can you imagine a video where a lead Hollywood actress solemnly addresses men's discrimination? Doubt it.

RMT4579 Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - This is the biggest load of bull I've ever seen. - "Women are responsible for 2/3 of the work done world wide, yet earn only 10% of the total income and own 1% of the property" ??? At least try and make the statistics look a little bit real.

hayden50 Says:

Apr 9, 2012 - exactly..

lpcroc Says:

Apr 13, 2012 - of course women arent equal to men. Lets be honest the reason why women might put their job at risk when they are pregnant is BECAUSE THEY ARE PREGO! Would an employer pay anyone to do nothing? so why should a women get paid for work they arent doing due to complications with a pregnancy? Men are also physically superior to women, this CANT be argued. There is a reason why women cant participate in direct combat in the United States. yes mentally they are on the same level.

MrDajx Says:

Apr 24, 2012 - No. While a man may be stronger than a woman on average, women are smarter than men. In fact, around 10% more women end up with 5 GCSEs at A* - C than men do. They also continue to do better than a man in A Levels and Degrees. Also, while a man may be stronger, a woman has a higher pain threshold and is responsible for birthing new life. Without women, you wouldn't be here. I'm a man who strongly believes in women's rights. Giving women equal rights is the bare minimum we can do for them.

lpcroc Says:

Apr 24, 2012 - why do you think women are smarter then men? I can come up with dozens of examples where men have out preformed women in the real world, the classroom does matter. not saying that women are dumb or less smart then men, I'm just saying that there are key differences between sexes. and since they are different they should be treated differently in certain situations. a woman who doesn't work as much due to pregnancy or children shouldn't be paid as much as a man doing full time work.

MrDajx Says:

Apr 25, 2012 - No, I'm just saying that you cannot say that men are superior to women. Just because they're stronger doesn't mean they're superior. I can come up with several sociological theories as to why women are smarter than men are.

lpcroc Says:

Apr 25, 2012 - what i mean by "not equal" i mean THEY ARENT THE SAME.. they act and think totally different. you can't compare the two. and you're retarded if you think that intelligence is based on sex. Intelligence is based on motivation and education. Women and men can have both of those things. If you say women are smarter than men then you're just reverse discriminating. and sociological theories? please spare me.. your talking to a sociology major here, so go back under the rock from which you came

MrDajx Says:

Apr 26, 2012 - Yes, but you can't say that one sex is superior to the other - I'm not reverse discriminating, I'm simply stating that women do better than men academically year after year.

lpcroc Says:

Apr 26, 2012 - when did i say men are superior to women? i said they were not equals, you can't be equal if you are biologically different..... and no that is exactly what you said, you said that you had these "sociological theories" on why women are smarter than men. which is total bullshit, if you look at the top scores of men and women getting the same formal education, yes women do win. but this isn't because of gender its affected more by socioeconomic status. rich families have more girls than guys.

MrDajx Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - You said: "Men are also physically superior to women" - I rest my case. And you've just supported my point that women do better academically than men do. Wealth does come into it yes, but you also have to account for the girls' "bedroom culture" - they're more likely to read magazines and talk to friends more than boys are.

lpcroc Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - key word there "physically" which you cannot argue, you even said it yourself. cut it out with the politically correct shit, I'm just being real. There is a reason why there are less women in the marines, its because the physical requirements are the same all across the board and less women can reach that requirement. and that bedroom culture is bs, studies show teenage boys read just as much as girls.. also when you resort to calling someone dumb without evidence you really look retarded.

lpcroc Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - look up the video "EQUALITY - HATE WEEK! - Day One" watch this video, Iknow the guy is an angry asshole but he has some very logical arguments

euphoria191 Says:
