Apr 9, 2012 - For the same reason that you listed "I just don't believe that we do or ever will understand how God works", I now realize that it is not OK for me to subscribe to a specific doctrine of religion that I am unable to agree with. I will very happily change my views and become a Christian again once these gaps have been filled, but until that moment I am not prepared to be close-minded and say that one religion is better than another. I am trying to be as objective and fair as possible.

Trebgah Says:

Apr 9, 2012 - I'm an agnostic Christian. I agree with you but there is just the same or less evidence that God doesn't exist. I don't think anyone should be a full atheist. I think they should be agnostic atheists. But religious gatherings are good to have because it teaches what they think is right and helps people get through their problems and help others with their problems. That is why I believe in faith but don't say everyone should act like they know for a fact. Just go with whatever you believe.

Trebgah Says:

Apr 9, 2012 - I understand and that's a noble purpose. You sound more like a true agnostic more than an atheist or agnostic atheist.

hellohello4225 Says:

Apr 10, 2012 - but God himself appeared to me as WHITE LIGHT, and it was the Holy SpiritHe came to people in the bible as the holy spirit, just ask him yourself

NKA23 Says:

Apr 10, 2012 - Yes, of course.

TheBlackKatana Says:

Apr 10, 2012 - I still really don't know what it is after this video.

hellohello4225 Says:

Apr 10, 2012 - When you say yes, I think your being honest, telling the truth.

hellohello4225 Says:

Apr 10, 2012 - just sayin =], if I ever even said anything to be offending, then truelly, I am sorry just let me know and you will be left alone, I will respect your wishes.

Murder0redruM Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - Theres more evidence against gods existence than there is for it. Also, any gathering of community can teach and help people, it doesnt have to be spiritual and in most case the spiritual elements hold it back because they were conceived in primitive times so contain outdated and false knowledge. Atheists dont say they know for a fact, they look at the evidence and come to the conclusion that probability favours gods non-existence. Dont go with whatever you believe go with what is the truth.

Trebgah Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - There! See? You just said it "Go with what is the truth." You're contradicting yourself and saying that I'm wrong and you're right. Religious gatherings help people because, like I said already, they teach values of morality that help someone to be a better person.

Murder0redruM Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - there was no contradiction, i guess you just assume what you believe is the truth... Also like i said it doesnt take religion to help people and teach morality and a lot of the time what religion teaches is not moral.

Trebgah Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - "Atheists don't say they know for a fact." And then "Don't go with what you believe go with what is the truth?" How the fuck is that fair? You can't tell me what's right and wrong! You don't know! Why are you trying to change me? Religion is not immoral it's just you stubborn arrogant bastards making it out that way.

Murder0redruM Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - Those arent contradicting statements.. atheists dont know everything for a fact, but we search for the truth, im not telling you whats right and wrong, im saying search for the truth rather than believing what religion tells you is right and wrong. I never said religion is immoral, i saif a lot of its teachings are immoral, and if you actually look at the teachings you see that its the truth and only blind faith would convince you otherwise.

Trebgah Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - I never said I don't just believe with whatever I'm told. I search for the science of things and I definitely believe in evolution but not sure what I think of the big bang based on evidence. I LOVE science and I'm really good at it. I don't want this to come out as hostile but can you tell me one thing that religion ITSELF teaches that is immoral?

Trebgah Says:

Apr 11, 2012 - I mean I never said I believe just what I'm told.

Murder0redruM Says:

Apr 12, 2012 - Some immoral religious teachings are; that children will burn in hell for eternity if they sin against god(and that theyre born in sin to begin with), that homosexuality is a sin and gays will burn in hell, and non-believers are going to hell also. Jesus, and these days priests(through confessions), forgive people of their bad deeds(or crimes) without consulting the person affected by the bad deed. And many more which (some)people dont follow these days but which used to be adhered to strongly.
