May 17, 2012 - In memory of one of Canada's greatest soldiers,,Tommy Prince ,of the PPCLI (Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, the regiment in which my uncle Bill was a dispatch rider) an Ojibewe of the Brokenhead reserve who later was a member of the Devil's brigade. In all, Tommy Prince was decorated nine times, the most of any aboriginal soldier in the war. he was a worthy descendant of the Salteaux Chief,Peguis , and a great Canadian . RIP Tommy, always one of my heroes!!! my uncle Bill too !!!

May 22, 2012 - mbabis101..Attagirl! Lots of my friends are descended from the "Heelander-r-rs"--they claim the Highlanders are the "fightingest" of all the Scots. I'm a Douglass (James, the Black Douglass is actually two esses). Lowland Scots ("Borderers") did more fighting against the dreaded and loathed Brits than all the Highlanders combined! Walter Scott's "Border Ballads" pointed this out, as well as Frederick Bailey Washington's honoring my clan by selecting the "auld" name. "Forward!" Dubh Glas forever!

May 26, 2012 - So this one time we went down to the States in California to act as enemy force force for some Americans heading over to Afghanistan, needless to say we ended up beating them pretty good at almost every turn, but there was one moment that will forever remind me of this movie. They camped out on top of a mountain with an easy approach on one side and a sheer cliff on the other side. They even put some barb wire at the top of the cliff and figured no one would be stupid enough to go that way. Ha.

May 28, 2012 - LOL us Canadians really showed them up in this movie. I am in Cadets in Canada and we use the exact same marching style seen here. Even have the bagpipes playing when we march playing the same Scotland The Brave song. Military life is the way to go :)

SupremeCmder Says:

May 29, 2012 - Are your Father or Mother in the Military right now? Also the marching style is used in the Canadian Military!
