So: who is Eckhart Tolle, and why are all these people so entranced by his thinking?The new PBS special ECKHART TOLLE: AWAKENING IN THE NOW examines the phenomenon surrounding Tolle by presenting excerpts from one of his rare public lectures -- this one from Los Angeles in 2007 -- and interview segments with Dr. Betty Sue Flowers, director of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum, who interprets the Tolle phenomenon from both a personal and a cultural perspective. In the Los Angeles lecture, Tolle focuses on his concepts of the "now", the role of the ego-ic mind -- a key mantra to use in everyday situations -- and other major themes of his continuing work. Flowers calls him "a world teacher... he not only teaches to the world, but he teaches from the world of all the spiritual traditions." It premieres February 28 and airs throughout March 2009 on most PBS stations. Check local listings for dates and times in your area. Feb 8, 2010 - If their is a `I` who meditates, its a trick of mind not meditation. Medidation will happen automaticly in the proces of freeing yourself from the self. A proces not touched by time, planning. If i deside to meditate i will never be in that state.

If you ask most christians think paul was an apostle of jesus yet he was not. jesus preached against religion he tried to teach us that god is in all of us and religion killed him.. LOVE is the greatest gift of all .. Feb 25, 2010 - I have noticed how you neo christians seek out every Eckhart Tolle video in order to slander him and the viewers. I would like to point out to you that this would be like someone coming into your church to slander it's guests. I can imagine the people there thinking "Anyone this disrespectful surely cannot have any wisdom or anything useful to teach us." I really don't expect you to agree but I invite you to see that you dishonor yourself with your behavior. Sad and Embaressing.

Apr 15, 2010 - Being 'in the now' is a good psychological tool, but... we are not our minds; we are not our bodies; we are not consciousness; we are not soul. Transcending all of these illusionary states takes a direct connection with God. Only then we may know our true Divine Authentic Being. Jesus showed us the way, then Christianity got in the way. Now alternatives like Tolle and others seek to take up the slack. It's a very sad world. But by knowing The Light in a new way, I know who I am and the truth.

The audio book is on limewire for free. Sit in the fire friend and then become the fire...hope that makes sense, it will when you start your journey.
