Sep 25, 2010 - Remember mosaic is a personal preference. I, personally, put tesserae all the way to the top of the pot. It is usually covered by foliage but that's the way I like it. Some people like wide spaces and some put their pieces very close together. Don't you just LOVE to mosaic things???

Oct 10, 2011 - You must use a non-water soluble adhesive which means an adhesive that is waterproof and frost proof because it is a flower pot and may be used outside. It is also a good idea to seal the terra cotta with polyurethane or another outdoor sealer so that the pot will not be effected by moisture. Also, after you grout it with sanded grout, you may want to seal the grout with a weatherproof sealer to ensure a long lasting mosaic creation.
