May 6, 2012 - This song song by the one and only was simply the best! I can still feel his journey when he arranged this song and that was the good thing about Sam but the sad thing was that he left us to soon but somehow I think he knew he was leaving us a special way to find him and all we had to do is listen to his music because his soul is still on a journey to a place called your heart and mind and for that we will never be lonely.

May 6, 2012 - I haven't heard Sam Cookes version in more than fifty years... it is so wonderful to hear this I was a teenager this came out in the fifties. I am reminded of the saturday afternoon that my older sister Lois came home with th 45rpm single... and we played it over and over and over.... RIP Lois I am remembering you and Sam Cooke Grace Alatta - Bermuda

May 15, 2012 - Says you who listened to the Righteous Brothers version and liked it... That version is also around 50 years old. I'm 25 and I love music from the 50's and 60's, its better than most of the crap we have today, most of it is just a joke.

May 18, 2012 - You need to expand your tastes a bit. There is just as much (if not more) great music being produced today as there was back then.

May 18, 2012 - OMG, Sam Cooke was SUCH A WONDERFUL TALENT! This is SURELY one of the great and distinctive versions of this singers' song recorded by so many.

May 19, 2012 - I'm 16 years old and I listen to the Soul Music of Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Billie Holiday, Otis Redding and Stevie Wonder, so your argument that only 50 year olds could ever like this falls flat. Also, the Righteous Brothers didn't even write this song. The original version was released by Todd Duncan in 1955. It's probably one of the most covered songs in the history of popular music. And no, I'm not an idiot, so blow me.

May 21, 2012 - Good for you! Some music transcends time and even cultural boundaries. If you like it, then what other people say about it or your tastes in general aren't important.
