Apr 27, 2012 - No I mean you don't physically need 100+ jumps, i.e. there's no law that state you HAVE to, most people do go for 200+ jumps, and yes, I'm aware, I've heard of lots of people base jumping hundreds of times, then dying on a jump. I was merely stating you don't physically NEED to, you're not under any jurisdiction to do so, although I do admit not taking the advice of hundreds of jumpers IS stupid.If you master skydiving in 50 jumps, then by all means, BASE Jump if you wish...

Apr 26, 2012 - In most base jumping locations, you wouldn't be ok technically. A few people have Base jumped without skydiving knowledge, and all of them say they regret the decision/are lucky to be alive.Most base jumping locations have narrow landing spots that require technical skill to land on. In others if you don't track right you'll die. To survive an off heading opening you need good canopy skills. You also need the right "nerves" to act right under pressure. So yes even technically, you need it.
