May 13, 2012 - I think you read my comment wrong, I know the movie is based on Giovanni. Its just the guy that acts as Ezio doesn't resemble the Ezio in games.

I guess maybe because Randez had a one year contract with Ubisoft so they had to make Ezio look like an 'original character' and not base him on a real person (like they did with the others in the film) which is then contradictory *insert confused brow quirk* Yeap - the background and settings are crazy and the costumes are amazing!

May 13, 2012 - Yeap. Modelled from Francisco Randez, well Desmond was. They did some slight modifications (if any) to Altair. They had to change the features for Ezio so he could look more Italian. But, yes, Randez was the model for the base construction of the face. I think he only had a one year contract with Ubisoft - considering the enormous changes in the characters bone structure with Desmond in Revelations.
