Mar 17, 2012 - @jr4173: I think Arch's voice is an acquired taste, kind of like Jon Oliva from Savatage.I think his voice is fantastic in smaller doses, but it can create listener fatigue in larger volumes. With Fates Warning, I found some of my absolute favorite tracks are ones that John Arch sang on - he packs a lot of punch into each song. Although, for FW albums - I lean towards the Ray Alder stuff, since Alder's voice is a bit easier to consume for an extended listen.

Apr 10, 2012 - I seriously need to catch up on my Symphony X. Haven't heard Iconoclast yet. So far, "Through The Looking Glass" still remains my favorite, with "Communion and the Oracle" coming in 2nd.
