Apr 25, 2009 - Maybe they could send all the refugees to the US to work in Chinese restaurants.

N5II Says:
May 5, 2009 - That may be true, but if it happened here in the US, then there would be civil protest and riots against it. Americans would be outraged even though the government here has the exact same rights to make such structures legally. Yet I hardly hear any outrage from the public in China. Though they definitely need that dam to prevent more loss of life.

May 8, 2009 - I agree... but what if it was you being taken away from your home where you've lived and where you've been born?

May 11, 2009 - I wish I understood the work put into deciding the damn had to be put there specifically. It seems they are throwing their money into it with out further thought as to the alternatives. I have to wonder if their are ulterior motives toward a destruction of their cultural identity, and if the US was quick to invest the money, the influence was also coming from outside the Chinese government. Not that it matters at this point but I wish I understood everything that went into this decision.

Jun 8, 2009 - I agree and applaud the ability of the Chinese citizens to look beyond their own limited self-interests. We have so much to learn from China.

Jun 12, 2009 - Protesting leads to exile, imprisonment or death. The louder you are, the more likely you will never be heard again. They covered this in the video, but it's rather common knowledge. China...

Jun 22, 2009 - An outstanding achievement. Think of it the power generated, over 15 nuclear power plants, Clean renewable energy. Not to mention the benefits of having a reservoir of that mass, for use during times of drought..

Jul 22, 2009 - The point is One. Equilibrium. That kind of structure, expensive as it is, will always work at 110% .We all know that were there is corruption, what politics want is more important than what engineers calculated.Let's all just hope everithing goes fine..Even if ecology, paleontology, anthropology seem empty words, life has a bigger weight on the balance .
matteosamma Says:
Jul 28, 2009 - ..maybe is because China and USA have a sort of unspoken agreement..I put some $ in your country, and You some in mine!
matteosamma Says:
Jul 28, 2009 - if You talk about mankind sense of time, i agree. But in Nature time more or less, it's the opposite.

Jan 29, 2010 - it's called eminent domain ... happens in america all the time and not always for the good of the people but for the good of a corporation ... so what?
PaleAlejandro Says:
Jan 29, 2010 - you're a retard
PaleAlejandro Says:
Jan 29, 2010 - i love how the narrator mispronounces the name of the river lol
Earthlinked Says:
Mar 1, 2010 - = You got that a little WRONG!!!!! Eminent domain is what is best for the majority of people - and may take from a few. It has NOTHING to do with any corporation!!!!!!
PaleAlejandro Says:
Mar 1, 2010 - earthlinked, where have you been? read the newspapers much? By the truest sense of the law you're right, but there are several times when corporations came to uncle sam to exercise eminent domain. example off the top of my head - Pfizer in connecticut ... try researching on your own and you may find out how the real world works.
Earthlinked Says:
Mar 1, 2010 - You know paranoia is good planning when everybody IS against you!!!!!!Eminent domain is a GOVERNMENT action - it CANNOT be forced by ANY company!!! And if 1 person complains - it can go to court - with a jury - thereby eliminating ALL doubt!!!No Company has EVER forced an Eminent Domain ruling - NEVER - it is simply NOT POSSIBLE!!And I don't need to "research" anything - I do this for a living - and without the stupidity or parinoia!!!!!!!!What color is the sky in your world???
PaleAlejandro Says:
Mar 1, 2010 - you do this for a living? hahahahahahayou're the one with his head stuck in the sand. nice trying to discredit me by labeling me "paranoid" like i'm a nut case. maybe whatever part of the world where you work things are straight but READ THE NEWSPAPERS and corruption happens. if you call me paranoid then so is the new york times and the washington post. LOOK AT ME I'M MAKING A POINT IN CAPS BECAUSE I'M A CLOSED-MINDED ASSHOLE!!!
Earthlinked Says:
Mar 1, 2010 - NO - you are doing it in caps becasue you are an idiot and know nothing about what you are talking about - and everybody that reads this knows it - except YOU!!!!!I really don't care enough about the subject to do ANY research - why should I - I get paid quite well for this during the week!!!!! So get off your mamma's computer - stick your thumb back up your ass - and go wrroy about the CIA taking over the world with the help of the Russian Empire!!!! YOU JERK!!!!!!
