Title: Stopped by police for no right turn except cyclists
Added: Feb 5, 2011
Author: smsm1986
Duration: 1:13
Description:
While cycling to work on the 31 January along my usual route, I was stopped by a policeman in a white van, who thought that I had just done an illegal right turn, when in fact it is a no right turn except for cyclists. This is the right turn from Queens Road into Asylum Road: http://osm.org/go/euuvM5gRw-

Apr 13, 2012 - It's a pity you couldn't hang around for him to go look and record the egg on his face!!
Bamuelsanks Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - To those that say: "Cyclists don't pay road tax, therefore they shouldn't be on the road", do they pay pavement tax?
AD1255 Says:
Apr 15, 2012 - Done pay?Retard!
kentcyclist Says:
Apr 16, 2012 - I have a helmet cam and video all cyclists riding on pavements
AnglOsAxOn2 Says:
Apr 17, 2012 - Im confused, you appear to be a long way away from the van, so how did you hear what the driver was saying?
CaptainCocaine Says:
Apr 18, 2012 - You realize the average car is more than 100 times as heavy as a bike? The bike causes no wear and tear to a road, no pollution, reduces traffic, and lowers health care premiums by reducing obesity and reinforcing good cardiovascular health. So tell me again why riding a bike should be taxed?
kentcyclist Says:
Apr 19, 2012 - I DONT. Im just teasing as thats sort of crap people say to me and Im grateful for all the different answers I shall give back to them
CaptainCocaine Says:
Apr 19, 2012 - Well you should make it more obvious that you're being sarcastic... like put cyclist in your username, and then spout out inane anti-cycling rhetoric... oh... wait.... nvm :P

Apr 22, 2012 - To be fair, that turning used to be a complete "No Right Turn" ban. The cop was just a bit out of date.Check out Google Streetview
MATTNATTMATT Says:
Apr 22, 2012 - And ofcourse, you've never been wrong in your entire life have you?
tbreakwell7 Says:
Apr 23, 2012 - Bike was correctCyclists should not be able to travel on the road as they can not reach the speed limit! Dangerous! If they get hit by a car they blame it on the driver, why?If safety is at their greatest interest and they have to travel around with cameras on their heads. Why don't they just take into account the danger and drive a fucking car! If you go to all the hassle of mounting a camera and come home with a broken leg and a video is worth it, then more fool you, you pretentious pricks!
AerialRcoet Says:
Apr 27, 2012 - I have about every right to use the road just as you do the internet.
kentcyclist Says:
Apr 28, 2012 - I have no right to use the internet as I hang around the orange shop and use their wifi at 2AM getting some strange looks from the police. lol
kentcyclist Says:

BleedingSunday Says:

Apr 12, 2012 - You really ought to post a noise / volume warning dude. The horrible plastic noise of the mic is fucking deafening. :/ I think if I have tinnitus in old age you're officially to blame.
