Apr 30, 2012 - I do mine totally different. I've tried various ways, but I prefer to first boil water, then add only the noodles in later, so they don't get too soggy. Then when they get cooked enough, I empty most of the water out and put the seasoning in. Then thoroughly stir, and empty all the water out. I found you get max flavor this way. Also, if you're adding extra ingredients afterwards, like hotsauce, this is the perfect way to get the most out of it.

May 4, 2012 - Now I know this is a matter of personal preference but the noodles are actually overcooked..and while the stirring motion with the ice cube does cool down the soup this only allows the noodles to soak up a lot more of the broth and then you're left with noodles with no soup. If you find you run out of broth midway of eating your soup then there either wasn't enough water added(I noticed you didn't measure), or it was stirred too much just after cooking, or it was cooked too long. Good effort :-)
