Sep 26, 2010 - Tex Ritter was third in popularity behind Gene and Roy in the singing cowboy poll. Interesting that John English was the director of this Grand National film. He later co-directed several Republic serials with William Witney. Tex apparently has three sidekicks in this one: Syd Saylor, his main sidekick, as well as Snub Pollard and Horace Murphy. Both Pollard and Murphy would be Tex's saddle pals in future films.

Dec 26, 2010 - Very pretty girl and Tex's songs are the best part, as is a large part for the tall bad guy played by Glenn Strange (Sam the Bartender on "Gunsmoke" TV). Grand National pictures had no idea how to make an action film. At the end Tex, gets beat up by old man half his size, a few minutes later the two duke it out again, and one of Tex's pal's shoots the little guy in the back. It's still worth watching: 2 stars out of 5.
