Apr 20, 2012 - it's no different than the normal algorithm, just rendered fancily.

Apr 22, 2012 - How do japanese multiply? Same as everyone else; when a mommy and daddy love eachother very much, the daddy sticks his you-know-what... actually I'll let your parents tell you.Spoiler Alert: The stork comes 9 months later!

beebledoggie Says:
May 6, 2012 - It's the SAME method as the classic one; it just has some lines drawed. It's the product of two polynomials of one variable. That is why the arithmetics are the same, that is, in the end you made the same operations. It will not make you faster.
beebledoggie Says:
May 6, 2012 - yeah, try to draw 9 lines together and after 8 and after 9 again... I prefer normal algorithm!! (that actually is the same but without drawings)
yuki3610 Says:
May 7, 2012 - The American way is faster..Use a calculator.
DJRomeoV Says:
May 8, 2012 - very easy. 1 line crossing another gives you 1 dot, 2 lines crossing 1 line give you 2 dots. 2 lines crossing 2 lines gives 4 dots. easy. but costs damn load of time.

May 21, 2012 - And while he's drawing boxes, I could be over half way done with an actual long problem.

May 23, 2012 - The American way is lazy and dumb the jap way is genius and clever

May 23, 2012 - O_____O.....longer process, but makes the brain work harder but better than being lazy with a calculator lol. Japan FTW!

zerrubabbel Says:
Apr 15, 2012 - since anythin time zero is zero (with the exception of the idea of infinity) I assume you would use no line, or a dotted line as a place keeper
