Sep 3, 2010 - @davie12 Wasn't that Alma Cogan? Anyway, brilliant :)

davie12 Says:

Sep 3, 2010 - @TomKayW Lennon certainly liked Alma Tom. I'm not sure but I think it was maybe Alma Cogan the person he was fond of rather than Alma Cogan the singer. Certainly he said that Petula was his favourite singer a bit later on (Alma died in '65) and it's been brought up many times in interviews with her so I guess it must be true, but maybe it's about his taste changing over the years.

Oct 10, 2011 - Pet Clark was on top when The Beatles dominated the top ten! My older sister loved her music and had all of her albums! Isaw A Hard Days Night at the show when I was eight years old! I bought her greatest hits! I loved Ringos voice on Cctopus's Garden. I have the original sheet music of Downtown with Pet Clark which was in pink! She sang her songs in diffrent languages and sounded great! That she was John Lennon's favorite singer is no surprise to me! I loved the 1960s British Invasion music!
