May 23, 2012 - Nice one!

thewalkingstickman1 Says:

May 23, 2012 - Jesus, that's amazingly patronising and very, very wrong.

thewalkingstickman1 Says:

May 23, 2012 - Have you not listened to Old Man by Neil Young? I think he's talking to you.

thlrlgrp Says:

May 23, 2012 - So sorry to be so very, very wrong. Can you name me anyone currently writing and playing that might be his equal? If I'm wrong, please explain the popularity of music from this era among today's youth? Is it possible that the music they wrote then speaks to them better than their generation's "music" does?

Papa7851 Says:

May 23, 2012 - I miss you !

Dave Thomas Says:

May 23, 2012 - i look at this song as stages of life, 24 and theres so much more is where im at right now. btw neil young is a boss!

MsFerna Says:

May 24, 2012 - That's stupid because there's a whole lot great music going on today but they're just not that famous, and you people keep on complaining about crap music on the radio instead of looking for good stuff, you get stuck on classic rock instead of trying to make unknown GREAT bands more famous, one good example it's Fleet Foxes, which I personally consider has better lyrics than a lot of classic bands, and guess what, their CDs were released on 2008 and 2011

thlrlgrp Says:

May 24, 2012 - Fleet Foxes are excellent, truly talented band. I'm not sure I'd agree with you about their songwriting ability, but each generation's perception of music will be different. If they speak to you, so be it. Lord knows there's enough awful crap in the world today that good songwriting shouldn't want for subject matter.

MsFerna Says:

May 24, 2012 - There always been awful crap going on for god's sake! Just imagine people 50 years ago complaining there is no good music going on like on the old days, but instead those loud and crappy musicians that take drugs all the time and write about crazy things. And what I think is worse, teenage people that listen to classic rock only and complain about it too, I'm a teenager too and I don't go around Youtube bragging about how "there's still hope" everyone should shut up and enjoy the music

tooclose2detroit Says:

May 24, 2012 - cool-yer dad is lucky to have a kid like you that can appreciate such music and see through the insanity that rap brings to the world-He raised ya well.-

tooclose2detroit Says:

May 24, 2012 - nah-disagree-no human with ears can compare the dogcrap that passes for music now with the great music from the late 60's early 70's. I am glad I was alive for it.

lillyandruben Says:

May 25, 2012 - you people need to chill out, But I have to say I cannot listen to a lot of the boppy crap that gets sung now, they are here today gone tomorrow, is that I read 6million views.I think the words are beyond young peoples thoughts

treezyW68 Says:

May 25, 2012 - honestly to all the real people out there and not to the inflamatory trolls out there..........Music, much like beauty is all in the eye of the beholder.Just because it's a certain genre doesn't mean it's going to be good or bad. You can have terrrible lyrics, beats, melodies, or meter in a song regardless of its original genre. What really matters is what was the "intent" of the artist and what was the "effect" of the music and how it was "recieved" by the listener....

treezyW68 Says:

May 25, 2012 - don't worry what others think, just groove with it, or dismiss it as jive and move on, no need to sway the masses

ndnjensen98 Says:

May 27, 2012 - wunderbar !

wichitarick Says:

May 28, 2012 - This was back when music was actually music

Slugos45auto Says:

May 28, 2012 - Neil Young is timeless.... So is your father!!!! What are the other songs that your father flagged????

maceintheface100 Says:

May 28, 2012 - 168 people hit the wrong button

aaronguy56 Says:

May 28, 2012 - Thank you, you are one of the few people that know true music.

dkay793 Says:

May 29, 2012 - Do you really have nothing better to do that go and correct people's grammar on youtube? I was intentionally putting it into a more slang way of saying it because that's how I wanted the sentence to sound. I wanted it to have a more laid back feel to it. If I wrote "It is funny how he... etc." it would have sounded almost robotic.. completely impersonal.

dkay793 Says:

May 29, 2012 - If you took my comment as any more than a joke or ironic, then you are simply a moron. I wasn't trying to give him credit, and I obviously wasn't saying he actually wrote it for me and my dad.. also, learn to spell.

TheGayFishRules Says:

May 29, 2012 - @dkay793 Let it go kid
