Feb 23, 2012 - I quote Wikipedia: "Campbell is of Afro-Jamaican and Chinese-Jamaican" therefore that is considered mixed! African and Jamaican people are two different race. They are black but from different continents. Chinese is asian of course. :) You are not mixed when you born with both parents from the same ethnicity. I still love Naomi. She suits the "supermodel" profile perfectly. She stands up for the black people out there...well done for her. I'm not black but...I admired her bravery.

Mar 22, 2012 - I"m from tinidad.  And my family is pretty mixedup. I have 3rd cousins who look like my twin and they are like 3/4 indian and i don't have a drop of indian in me. And i'm an educated woman. You don't have to look one way or another when you're mixed raced hun, Naomi happens to look very much like her mother. Race isn't in the looks. I didn't just make up the information google is your friend to find out what Naomi's heritage is. We all have the net. Use it!

Your country of birth(and that of your parents if different from yours) AND your ancestral blood line ALL define you. As you stated previously, you're Trinidadian. Last time i checked that is NOT a race but rather a nationality linked to a certain culture. That said most of the current inhabitants of this island are mostly not indigenous persons to this region.

So to just say you're trinidad doesn't really say way you are in whole. So you're either of African, Indian, Chinese.....decent. So the term African-Trinidadian or Afro-Trinidadian will suffice or just to say Afro Caribbean. Do you understand now?? and many are very mixed so they claim one way or another or both. Any more confusion?
