supercerebralcortex Says:

May 13, 2012 - This guy said that rationality is grounded by intuition....... so by that logic, Einstein was saying the the sacred gift and the faithful servant were the same thing.

May 14, 2012 - mind blowing ... what a great overview! !!

MARSBOR33 Says:

May 14, 2012 - I like his intuition, but I would also like to see research that proves his theories. As a psychiatrist he should be aware of the social implications of his messages and I believe he should not refer to his own experiences as a psychiatrist as general fact without scientific research to prove these experiences are fact.

akm97 Says:

May 14, 2012 - Try reading The Master and His Emissary. More than 2,500 pieces of research referred to, and a very cogent argument

nadiamasot Says:

May 14, 2012 - By saying that rationality is grounded by intuition he is not saying that they are the same thing. He is simply saying that one cannot be sustained without the other.

May 18, 2012 - GRRRRRRR!Whats funny about this?? What a load of old shit!!Nothing funny happend!! Nobody even got hurt! What a fucking swizz!!!!!

MarshlandSniper Says:

May 18, 2012 - I find it sad that you would chastise Iain for sharing his logical thoughts but nothing is said about mainstream sellouts who produce dumbed down crap. That video is not a forum to prove anything - it is there to inspire the scientific community to look into this more. This is just not Iain's point of view - I myself, feel that creative & philosophical thoughts are being weighed less and less in society as a whole, against the tangible but hollow materialism.

BurritoBazooka Says:

May 23, 2012 - I really like RSAnimate, but I always find myself pausing every couple of seconds to read all the text. It would be handy to either not write as much, or pause so that the viewer can read what is being clarified/realised/contextualized.

lequebecois2 Says:

May 25, 2012 - this is so you watch it many times.

fan9211 Says:

May 27, 2012 - I would prefer either a longer video or one that speaks in more concise terms. A lot of times I feel as if he's going to do the left brain part and articulate whatever my right brain has been concerned with but he usually touches on something and lets it go quickly. A lot of repetition, synonyms and antonyms used but little elaboration is actually made on many points. Quite disappointing but potentially insightful nonetheless.

Ukirozu Says:

May 27, 2012 - This is just amazing.

sowhat4theword Says:

May 29, 2012 - I think you have an misunderstanding of what he was telling us, try listening to the words but don't let the images fool you of what he meant. He meant that society today tends to focus to much on one way of thinking and many have forgotten the alternatives that are available and only accept one way of thinking, today's world rewards compliant and focused thinking not creative or imaginativethinking and that needs to change!Sorry for the 3 month old reply! :)

TylerDurden4321 Says:

May 29, 2012 - 1. Sorry for point number two2. Can we have him as the voice of Jor El in the next Superman movie?

shaynek788 Says:

May 29, 2012 - This video is based on his book, "The Master and his Emissary: the Divided Brain and the Making of the Western World", he also has a good piece in the WSJ called "The Battle of the Brain"
