Mar 13, 2012 - Tim Buckley sings "Were you hare when I was fox?" With This Mortal Coil, Elizabeth sings "Were you here when I was full sail?" In this version she seems to sing "Were you here when I was flotsam?" That would be the opposite of "full sail". This is one of those songs that metamorphisized over the years. The hare and fox just doesn't fit the theme.

Glad to have both and Tim Buckley's excellent original. Remember, when he co- wrote it and performed it live, The Beatles were still in existence. The official release was in 1970 as Beatlemania came to an abrupt halt.
