Feb 25, 2012 - When I was a lil kid when the show was being run realtime on TV I didn't like Sgt Saunders. Just thought he was to mean. I liked Hanley better. But loved the show as a whole. Now as an adult and found these on DVD I bought the whole set and see that I had Saunders all wrong. Now I see him as one kick ass no nonsense cool dude.

Feb 25, 2012 - I had a Mattel Dick Tracy "Tommy Burst" Thompson Machine Gun when I was a kid. Wish I still had it. Probably cost $2 new but are now on Ebay for $50 or more.

Apr 24, 2012 - I actually didn't like this show as a kid, my dad loved it though. I was probably too little, I was only like 5 when it was on. However, my dad also had a 30 caliber M-1 carbine, I loved shooting that thing.

May 28, 2012 - Gomer was the code name of Vic Morrow in season 4 episode 9. In the plot, it may have seemed like an accident but it was a clever ploy to deceive the enemy into thinking the Sarg was killed by friendly fire. You are probably thinking of the other great military show about Gomer Pyle.
