Mar 14, 2011 - lol - it's just life.how many times has "well that's just life" or "it's just life" been thrown whenever they don't have anything else to saywhat a stupid excuse

Mar 22, 2011 - So, can anyone explain why he had her committed? Was he too busy to take care of her?I just never understood that to begin with.

Mar 25, 2011 - I had initially wondered this as well upon my first viewing of the video. It seems that he's so reluctant to let her leave. I don't think it's ever explained, but I would imagine it had something to do with the fact that she started to wander off and get into dangerous situations (like being out on the highway in the freezing cold). I would imagine that he figured it was safer for her. That and there would be no film if she wasn't committed haha.

Mar 29, 2011 - @davidmartinsvideos It was HER idea to go to the alzheimer's center. He was against it from the start.I loved this film. I remember seeing it in the theatres in 2007. Julie Christie should have won that Oscar.

Apr 24, 2011 - i dont believe they put that line in the film just because there was nothing else (or better) to say
34RiverStone Says:
Apr 24, 2011 - i think u missed my point. i wasn't talking about the film, i was talking about people in general in real life out side the film, who say it all the time. It's a good line to have in the film because the person who's saying that is just the kind of person who'd always say that, and that's what people really say. And yeah, it's a good line to have in the movie, but i'm tired of hearing it from pple outside the movie in real life.

Mar 11, 2012 - One of the best films ive ever seen, beautiful, loving, movingly acted. Julie Cristie gives one of the best performances of all time, she won the Golden Globe award, SAG award and other Critics award for her great performance and was nominated for the ACADEMY AWARD for Best Actress.

May 20, 2012 - Even in her 60s, Julie Christie is still so beautiful. This movie is one of the only ones that has ever actually moved me. Great work from Sarah Polley and the cast.

Mar 4, 2011 - This movie made me cry like a baby. and I'm a 19 year old man. Realism really helps a movie connect with the audience.
