Apr 28, 2012 - you are going to hurt your ankle if you kick the ball so squarely with your instep/laces as you will not have proper contact with the ball. you should instead approach the ball at an angle, and point your kicking foot slightly away from your plant foot, make contact with your instep nonetheless.
