Mar 1, 2012 - The easiest way is to cut the yarn, leaving a long yarn end, then draw the end through all 3 loops on the hook and pull tight to fasten off.

Apr 22, 2012 - Where did u get that yarn?
planetjune Says:
Apr 22, 2012 - It's just Red Heart Soft yarn - if you're in North America you should be able to find it in any craft store.

May 15, 2012 - can u use that as ties for a hat? how would you start from the bottom of the hat?
planetjune Says:
May 16, 2012 - Yep, you can definitely use it for that! You could start by picking up 3 stitches at the bottom of the hat, but then you'd have to keep turning the hat around and around with every few stitches you make... I'd suggest you just make two i-cords in the same way as I demonstrate in the video, and then stitch them to the hat afterwards.

May 22, 2012 - clever! I was thinking of using this method as a stem for the top of a beret, join stitches 3 and 1 and increase from there
