Description:
A Land Rover Defender drives up a "Real Man's" 4WD track. One brave soul attempted it in a Landcruiser but failed before even getting both sets of wheels on the ramp. He is currently at home trying to fix his exhaust.The video was taken at the Maitland 4WD & Camping Show 2009 and the ramp is 5.5M above the ground.The majority of the drive is done with the driver seeing nothing but sky.

May 17, 2012 - I'm a bit confused here, So I'm dumb enough to buy a Land Rover? - a reliable, capable, robust off road car (one that doesn't catch fire). Can't see why that's dumb. I'm going by facts here mate, Jeep's are known for catching on fire, there has been recalls, if you don't know this I suggest maybe you are dumb. Glad you think jeeps bursting into flames is funny, when purchasing one in the first place is the biggest joke of all. Quick tip, if you buy a jeep pick the fire extinguisher option.

May 17, 2012 - Out of the three I've owned for the past 18 years, none have caught on fire. And I've never seen one catch on fire on the trail out of thousands I've crawled with in. May 18, 2012 - I find it so funny when people compare Defenders with jeeps, but then again, most of these people have never had the opportunity to take a land rover off road and feel its capabilities. The Defender is not known as the worlds best off roading vehicle from stock for no reason. I guarantee you, out of all the jeeps made and all the defenders made, there will be more landys on the road to this day. I should know because I own a 1989 90 and it drives like new!

May 21, 2012 - Yeah that sounds like a fair call, You like jeeps I like LR's, they both have different uses off road. Sounds like you do more rock crawling in the States witch jeeps being smaller/more compact are probably well suited to where as in Australia people like outback touring and need to take a lot of equipment/supplies and some people tow boats/caravans/camper trailers plus a tinny on the roof of the car witch is where big but still very off road capable 4wds like LR's shine, Take it easy now mate:)
