Nov 7, 2011 - A good ol night at the pub with your old man and a couple of beers. Been there since 4 its now 10. Watching the game, having a blast. Old times renewed. Being with my dad is the best time in the world. I would rather spend 1000 years with my dear ol pa then 5000 years with 20 of my best friends.. If it wasn't for my dad I wouldn't be here, I wouldn't be happy. He has made my life.. Love you dad!

Whenever life is hopeless or the world forgot you, just look around yourself -friends always stay beside you. This song is very beautiful and Ralph Mc Tell has done very well. I love his powerful voice and his relaxed music. thank you.

Feb 21, 2012 - "Whats the story with this song?" It was written by the English folk singer Ralph McTell and was a massive hit for him in 1974. Reached number 2 in the British charts

Mar 17, 2012 - You are right about Ralph McTell, but I've very rarely heard him perform it. So many other performers went running with it and performed it. It's such a mind-pondering song.
