Together this was the period after Hendrix passed away when Hendrix fans were dying for all things Hendrix and had to tolerate the negative reviews on these two release in particular. When in fact this stuff is incredible. the Studio tone that Hendrix and engineers came up with really are fantastic. at the time we were made to believe he was actually burned out creatively. far, far from true
