Mar 3, 2012 - Too bad they didn't use the second verse of "Mother People" (which was edited out of the original release of "We're only in It for the Money"):"Take a look around before you say you don't careShut your fucking mouth about the length of my hairHow would you survive if you were aliveShitty little person?"

Mar 20, 2012 - I'm gonna have to start up a new branch of TACOS around here (The Almighty Cult of Spiffiness). The only rule is you must use the word 'spiffy' at least once a day...just like 'Mike' did!!
shasel1975 Says:
Mar 20, 2012 - a) okay, c) yep, d) sure, why not?, e) is that a bad thing?, but b)???? name your sources, or get the names right! DAVY was on Broadway, MICKY had a t.v. show as a kid, PETER had been playing gigs around NYC and Cali, and MIKE most DEFINITELY was and IS a musician, having released a few singles even BEFORE the show...
lakeviewviking Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - BURN!!!!
sprucetree49 Says:
Apr 1, 2012 - In retrospect the monkees were a more honest band than most. Kids used to say that they didn't play on their records, not realizing that most of the bands around didn't play on their records. It wasn't that they weren't good musicians, but the studio had better ones, and the authority to insist they be used.
MrBigade11 Says:

May 2, 2012 - glad zappa is dead he was worthless.. I love the monkees but hated this bits where they tried to be hip.. on the other hand they were just young kids so I'm sure in hind sight they would do it different. Also I always thought Tim Buckley ruined the end of the Frodis caper.. he was such a downer...
eldospinks Says:

Jan 9, 2012 - And pretty sure that although he didn't play when the group was put together Peter Tork did teach him to play and on tour and later in thier career Micky played drums (and now guitar) which would make him....a mucisian.
