I don't deny that they took these sides then, but shouldn't we acknowledge that, for the past 3 years, the Republican platform has been staunchly de-regulatory? Does that not mean anything? Democrats screwed up, but Republicans now support the same failed policies of de-regulation. Support POLICIES that make sense. Party lines are irrelevant here.
