Aug 14, 2011 - @galsal78 usually at running stores, a foam roller is key if you're a runner. It will help avoid getting runner's knee, by releasing the ITB.

Aug 29, 2011 - Thank you for this video. Bought a foam roller and I have done it 3 times thus far-EXTREMELY painful! Tears most definitely! :( Can anyone give me any idea how frequently I should attempt this? I'm sure it varies from person to person and how tight the muscle is. Can anyone share their experience? Twice a day? Multiple times a day? How soon can I start running again? This is so new to me, trying to search out answers online. Please help or point me in right direction! Thanks so much!

Aug 29, 2011 - @signlangcmb I have knee pain caused by the tight IT Band. Pain started week and a half ago. Went to a free injury clinic offered at local running (shoe) store. Physical Therapist there said pain due to IT band and recommended the foam roller and various stretches (like in this video.) But didn't give me any idea of how soon I might expect results. I'm a runner and simply devistated. Have a race I'm registered for in a month. Don't want to drop out!!

Oct 8, 2011 - Great vid, thanks. Anyone ever got sore stomach muscles or acid reflux from having a very tight IT band affecting this area too? Just wondering. Ta.

Nov 2, 2011 - Think your exercises are spot on, except the piriformis stretch, that is more of a gluteus stretch, Piriformis: one would lie down on ones back bend the R leg up in a bent 90 degree angle, then draw the right knee towards the left shoulder, trying to maintain a turn out on the right leg. Your left leg is straight :)

Nov 6, 2011 - I'm not a runner. I think what screwed up my T band was a combination of uphill bike riding and working in high heels.

Jan 14, 2012 - Good tips and video. I just wanted to comment that the TFL (Tensor Fasciae Latae) is on the anterior side of the body so rolling the glutes on the posterior side does not directly help with the TFL. I just wanted to clear that up incase that caused confusion for anyone.

Jan 28, 2012 - I really enjoy your videos. You boil it down to the essentials. I'm overjoyed that I might be able to manage knee pain by using these stretches. And I appreciate all the technical background information you cover (in other videos).

Jan 31, 2012 - Your video is fantastic! Thanks for such great information! If it's possible, if you could put the web address down a bit lower on the screen, it would make it easier to see what you're doing. At points in the video, I had to try to peer through the letters to see what you were doing with your knee or leg. Thanks!

Feb 4, 2012 - Wow dude, this work instantly for me! I have a recurring problem where I have a sharp pain deep in my glutes after each of my soccer matches. It goes away on its own after 2-3 days, but once I resume sports/lifting activity, it comes right back. I just finished a game of indoor and I found this while looking for stretches to do since the glutes are one of those awkward areas to stretch. I already have a bit more mobility and less pain. Any other tips for my problem would be appreciated! Thanks!
