Dec 6, 2011 - This doco is based on the 'presumption' that the drought is being caused by carbon emissions. Seems that there have always been climate change and a particular pattern along with sunspots, and so on. How old is this doco? Man made Climate Change is a proven hoax/scam. Its pretty tragic that a non-toxic gas CO2 has been the focus of so much attention when all that greenie energy could have been put on focusing on the millions of artificial chemicals getting into our environment, nano...etc

Dec 6, 2011 - We as people of the West have not just an obligation but a duty to share what we have with those less fortunate overseas, the people in Occupy-Wall-Street are the 1% in the international community. We have clean running water, healthy food, democratic rights, and a chance for an education... and we are complaining because we're not millionaire? Too many people do nothing because they cant do everything; we don't have to change the world but why cant we just do our part?

Dec 8, 2011 - Certainly a case for regulatory controls on hedge funds being involved. And would be better if they had more effort on developing sustainability, rather than one-off projects that solve nothing long term. No doubt Monsanto is going to get their fingers in on this. Shame.

Dec 15, 2011 - So because people are starving in Africa, I should stop being angry that I can't find a job and that my mom might lose her house? I and many others are deeply troubled by international issues like the drought in Africa, but just because someone has it worse off than me doesn't mean that I shouldn't strive for improvement in my own country.

MrRossT1 Says:
Dec 20, 2011 - aqua-ducts are more beneficial. Same way a desert like California was made into a breadbasket. Aqua ducts can do the same for parts of Africa. Some areas in Africa get a lot of rain which can be collected and re-directed to drought areas via aqua ducts.

Apr 1, 2012 - another area where hedge funds, investment houses, wall street type industries gamble for profit at the expense of people. You can see the same thing happening in other countries in the world, even the USA. Speculators driving up prices only for their own greed. And politicians in all countries, all parties are kissing their feet rather than surviving their citizens. One solution, require commodity traders to take possession, period. If they can not, they should not be in the market.

Dec 6, 2011 - I read Al Jazeera's coment. I read few pages of comments, which pretty much all consist of offensive, racist, insulting, hatred inciting, focused on personal attacks, off-topic and incredibly narrow minded comments. Internet, one of the most important inventions in human history, used for such rubbish. Yep, humanity sure has great future with such population...
