Jan 7, 2011 - Do you not know what the word source means (perhaps you should buy a dictionary)? It doesn't mean the data is out there go find it. It means you give me the exact place of where your information rests. You won't because you can't, because it doesn't exist.Besides weren't you just complaining about big business and how they don't tell the truth and can't be trusted. But you trust pollsters. Hahaha.

amcnea Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - @tristramshandy3"You must watch fox and listen to rush"No, not really. I read about history, understand economics, and can do math. Also, when I debate with someone I do NOT act like an arrogant prick. I simply state my opinion and LISTEN to my opposition. This allows me to understand my opponent rather then simply shutting him out.Anyways, you are becoming annoying and digressing to the point of feces throwing. Instead of lowering myself to your level, I am ending this conversation.

tristramshandy3 Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - I am skeptical of polls, typically. However, EVERY poll shows support for govt, and both parties, at all-time lows. I think these polls are questionable, but more reliable than your personal experience. If you think there is broad support for govt, you must not be talking to a lot of people. I do and there isn't.Have a nice day.Read Montaigne.

tristramshandy3 Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - go back and read your posts. If you think you have been "mature" and "adult" and not insulting, you are retarded.Have a great day. What history books have you read? What are the best ones IYO?

amcnea Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - @tristramshandy3Again, source your material which shows the majority is against the programs I listed earlier. Else, you are just talking out your ass. Your the one who started demanding sources. Why is it so difficult for you when asked for the very SAME thing you demand of me?"If you think there is broad support for govt, you must not be talking to a lot of people. I do and there isn't."Of course, how could you be wrong on anything? I forgot I was talking to an omnipotent god.

tristramshandy3 Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - Read Montaigne. That's the last thing I have to say to you. Nietzsche said that humanity was better off because Montaigne wrote. Ralph Waldo Emerson FREAKED OUT when he read Montaigne. Shakespeare was influenced by Michel de Montaigne. He is the greatest, wisest man to ever live- and if you don't read him, your life is lacking."A light heart lives long"- William Shakespeare.

amcnea Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - "Read Montaigne. That's the last thing I have to say to you"So, I assume this means your not going to give me your source?

tristramshandy3 Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - I tried posting two of hundreds of polls, but am unable to do so. If you google "do liberals support the drug war" and "do liberals support the afghan war", you will find the same info I did. Those are two programs you said people supported. What evidence do you have to support that assertion?you wrote "people are in favor of govt regulation and almost all govt programs".Got evidence?

tristramshandy3 Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - additionally, if you actually take the time to READ Montaigne, you will have gained from this discourse; which is more than I can say for myself :)You're welcome!

amcnea Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - I also said "If they answered YES to all of the above, then I am wrong."Notice the words "all of the above". Of course a minority might not want this or that, but as a collective whole, people are in favor of most govt programs. Furthermore, we were talking about the majority, not liberals. Also, the Afghan war, or war in general, was not on my list at all.If your going to source something, please make it relevant to the conversation. And, do a better job of sourcing.

amcnea Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - "if you actually take the time to READ Montaigne, you will have gained from this discourse; which is more than I can say for myself"Of course not, you do not listen to anyone except yourself. I am surprised you have READ Montaigne, because you seem to have quite a bit of difficulty reading my 500 character posts. I find it all but impossible for you to make coherent sense of a book. Or even a short article for that matter.

tristramshandy3 Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - I LOVE it! Some dude who pulls his sources out of his buttocks is telling me I need to do a better job sourcing my info. LOL! Holy hypocrisy and irnoy batman! Thanks dude. That was fun to read. I have now officially gained something from this discourse.

tristramshandy3 Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - People have been able to convince me I was wrong about things before. You are chalking up your rhetorical and intellectual shortfalls to some perceived inability of comprehension on my part.Nice job!Keep up the good work.I am done responding to you now. It's a nice sunny day and I plan to enjoy it.

amcnea Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - At least I am willing to admit it when I am talking from opinion and I am capable of sourcing materials when drawing from source. I don't demand sources of others, then lie about my own sources. It's not "hypocrisy and irony", it is simple honesty. You should try it sometime.

amcnea Says:

Jan 7, 2011 - @tristramshandy3"You are chalking up your rhetorical and intellectual shortfalls to some perceived inability of comprehension on my part"You perceived short fall comes from:1) Your inability to source relevant information2) Your inability to answer: "So, what exactly are you recommending in order to make this happen." This being public funded elections.3) And, by your own words "Ahhh, I must have misread the reply"So, go enjoy your day and leave the discussion to those more capable.

Andreas1986xyz Says:

Feb 14, 2011 - about 30 years old, it is from the early 80s.

RonnieNolanRaharjo Says:

Jun 12, 2011 - I agree and the Khan Academy isn't perfect either. I think we'll see what we don't have now and that is competitive education. Seriously if Google is backing Khan than Facebook could have there own program where you can't gain access to Facebook unless you do your homework and study. Just another simple innovation.

yuri35435 Says:

Jun 21, 2011 - Unions are always foolish because they do not destroy their own jobs and then distrobute the profit from that evenly, things need to progress one way or another and the unions continually get cut out and they don't try anything new, however they do have alot of money in financial entities such as pension funds that they should use strategically.
