The FEG changed the K1 rules to disallow that only in 2010, and they probably did because Schilt is such a good user of the clinch, and they wanted to hinder his succes, because pretty much nobody ever survives Schilt's knees from the clinch. He just takes people, pulls them off balance in an instant, and boom. Even if people get a full block in between it still rocks them.
