Mar 12, 2010 - This is a lot better than the movie called "Mystorious Island"!

bingbong35 Says:

Mar 14, 2010 - "The People That Time Forgot" was released in theatres in 1977, hence Sarah Douglas' more subdued Princess Leia for the first half of film and then the part in the middle down Bo Derek look for the last 45 min of the film-lol!!!

Apr 4, 2010 - Technical limitations of the time aside, American International Pictures still made low-budget movies. So even in comparison to films of its cohort, they seem a little cheesy. You're right that comparing films of yesteryear to today's sophisticated visual extravaganzas will always make the old movies look bad. Still, I try not to take movies like this too seriously. I find it's best to sit back and enjoy the campiness, whatever the era.

Apr 19, 2010 - Who was candy corn your bird?

karlydoc Says:

Apr 19, 2010 - It's mysterious island, comeon that was a lot better than this, harryhausen stopmotion 10 times better than the rubber monsters filmed against rear projection in land

karlydoc Says:

Apr 19, 2010 - Correct, these films had a special effects budget of less than £200,000, while star wars made a year later had an effects budget of £2.5 mill,All these films, land, people warlords of atlantis very popular in the uk in mid 70's,then they died off after star wars was made ,could not cope with the level of special effects.

May 15, 2010 - Awesome cast too, with Barron, Penhaligon, and McClure's the man! Too bad Anton Diffring didn't play the German captain in person, rather than just voice him, but nevertheless still one of my absolute guilty pleasure favorites.

Thermionman1970 Says:

May 15, 2010 - As far as I am concerned CG has totally ruined any great movies ever being made again .Those CG effects are glossy and not solid looking. Can you imagine if the first Star Wars was CG or Close encounters of the third kind?

chichiboypumpi Says:

Jun 4, 2010 - bring out the beer and pop pass the chippies and popcorn

Pichustrikesback Says:

Jul 13, 2010 - Ohhh! I have already had a bitter taste of CG in old movies with the re-mastered version of Star Wars; all those effects they added and that Jabba the Hutt crawling alongside han Solo 8(

andyisapro Says:

Jul 30, 2010 - this film made me laugh how instead of anything that looked Neanderthal they used Aussie aborigines

trbuio14 Says:

Aug 15, 2010 - that was one of the best dinosaur movies i´ve ever seen.^^

Aug 17, 2010 - @nosajj123 You are an imbecile. People work twice as hard as they did back then because the audience expects more. I work in practical and physical effects and would prefer to have fun with clay and silicone working on something in preproduction for a month as opposed to 1-2 years of painstakingly pre and post. But its you, the audience that demands more.I loved this film, but if you really think an audience would buy into this now, you are far more foolish that you already sound.

plastique45 Says:

Aug 17, 2010 - No, YOU'RE the imbecile, and your fx suck.

fromdeepitcame Says:

Aug 17, 2010 - Haha, 10year old comment... looking at a pathetic trolly future

JENDALL714 Says:

Aug 5, 2011 - KTLA 5 in Los Angeles always use to show these low budget movies, anything with giant Ants or Rats, it was always on KTLA 5!

quazzie11 Says:

Aug 15, 2011 - I saw this as an 8-10 year old and it made me absolutely giddy with anticipation when I saw the commercial that told it was coming. I never missed it when it was on - only twice - but wow, I was SO enthralled by the dinosaurs. If I'd had something like the new show Terra Nova I would have died of a heart attack from pure joy. I was so into dinos that I would stare for hours at the 2 or 3 pics in the encyclopedia and dream of that it would be like to see a real dinosaur. Ahh, to be a kid again!

theshow2k8 Says:

Sep 7, 2011 - Damn so many memories

silverwolf200056 Says:

Sep 27, 2011 - Reminds me of PLanet of Dinosaurs. Which was my favourite movie besides Lion King as a kid. XD

cutis1000 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - I'm surprised there hadn't been an attempt yet to remake this film.

tobar1p Says:

Oct 4, 2011 - There was in 2009 and it was crap like 99.9% of all remakes are.

southport97 Says:

Feb 12, 2012 - This and Last Dinosaur were great b-movies.

farbrorbla Says:

May 22, 2012 - Not really a remake as much as it was a spoof. A cheesy comedy that basicly has nothing to do with this classic but i guess your right..... it was a remake of some sort
