Title: The End of the Line Trailer

Added: Jan 29, 2009

Author: endofthelinemovie

Duration: 2:7

Description:
The End of the Line is a powerful film about one of the world's most disturbing problems - over-fishing. Advances in fishing technology mean whole species of wild fish are under threat and the most important stocks we eat are predicted to be in a state of collapse by 2050. The film points the finger at those most to blame, including celebrity chefs, and shows what we can do about it. This is not just a film, it is also a campaign - for sustainable consumption of fish, for marine protected areas to allow the sea to recover, and for a new ethic of responsible fishing.www.endoftheline.com

Jul 12, 2011 - Hey people please do not accuse Asians as a guilty for this problem. The run for eating fishes is a world cultural moving, we discover our diabetes or fatty junky foods consequences and we at Western increasingly eat less meat and more fishes. Just look for "SUSHI" "TEMAKI" restaurants opened recently at WESTERN CITIES... this is a cultural boom on eating fresh fishes worldwide. The asians always eat fresh fishes. Just the western people discovered the sea cooking benefits nowadays. Peace.

Jul 16, 2011 - @oscarreggiotube Sure, countries all around the world are contributing to the decline of fish populations in the sea, but Western people arn't slaughtering the most intelligent creatures on the planet for food. Google "The Cove" and tell me that Western culture is just as bad as Eastern culture when it comes to what they eat from the sea. Killing a fish is one thing, but killing whales and dolphins? They don't realize how close to extinction some of those animals really are. It's just sad.

Jul 18, 2011 - loved this movie. another reason I want to become a marine biologist.

abbadabbadolittle Says:

Jul 20, 2011 - @n52nimbus Lets not forget about the whales the Japanese slaughter and the dolphins by the Chinese. How about the farm raised poisonous fisheries in China where the fish are so full of antibiotics and chemicals. Sunami please!

Trafa522 Says:

Jul 26, 2011 - @Lillyvon Australia's fisheries are among the best managed in the world and should be recognised as such.

Lillyvon Says:

Jul 27, 2011 - @Trafa522 - completely agree - and very proud of that fact. I'm willing to pay more for my seafood if it means our coast line, seafood etc are managed well. NZ has a very good system as well.

Oct 8, 2011 - @imakooki it really wasnt talking about evolution when it said evolving it meant changing and developing like growing bigger and stronger.

CrazyStacey101 Says:

Oct 8, 2011 - We are not God , we do not decide who dies - so why kill such beautiful creatures? Our oceans are dying because of greed , remember you can't eat money. We need to stop the slaughter.

imakooki Says:

Oct 13, 2011 - dont eat fish

FeelTheDeadWeight Says:

Nov 5, 2011 - @Trafa522 You're kidding right? Australia's fisheries are terribly managed. We have pointless Green zone closures based on no scientific fact, and we can't even face the real problem of the pros absolutely raping the mullet and tailor stocks each year. Not to mention the 'accidental' by catch of premier sportfish, such as permit and tarpon.

50srocknrollfan18 Says:

Nov 24, 2011 - Anyone else expecting a movie about 2 guys that hijack a train?

TheBabyDreDre Says:

Nov 30, 2011 - Fish are friends not food

scurpenin Says:

Dec 8, 2011 - @TheBabyDreDre No way that fishes ARE food if you're not vegetarian. The problem is that fishing is not agriculture: you just take and dnever sough. But we do need a more substainable fishing.

Ignaciofishery Says:

Dec 16, 2011 - for all those fools that think that the reason is just not to eat fish i have a bad new for all ya, fisheries are not going to stop at all, several fishermen are concerned about this but the industry are mannaged by politicians and if their workers dont do his job..someone will certainly do. Now all those who think that fishing is killing ocean...the answer is just simple, AQUACULTURE! as simple as that the world´s future is in marine farms...theres nothing more sustainable than that

Trafa522 Says:

Dec 18, 2011 - @FeelTheDeadWeight Nothing you said makes sense. None of it. I'll say it again, loud & clear. Check your facts, SA (South Australian) Fisheries are the best managed fisheries in the world, full stop. Do some home work, you might surprise yourself...SBT is booming here, we have'nt seen so much fish for decades, neither have the scientists, that why they reversed the quota cuts and are talking of increases. My advice - DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!

Doppelganger177 Says:

Jan 5, 2012 - @Ignaciofishery you display the same type of ignorance that this movie tries to educate people against. if you had actually watched the film instead of just coming to youtube to preach your depressing right-wing conservative capitalist attitude on all the 'fools' then you would have learned that fish farms are actually NOT sustainable, they actually kill more fish than they produce; they are in fact the OPPOSITE of sustainable so please do yourself a favor and watch this film

Ignaciofishery Says:

Jan 5, 2012 - @Doppelganger177 actually is not ignorance, just common sense if you compare fishing and aquaculture you will find that its more sustainable and well, im just propossing something to do because im really sorry if you think that you can make the world stop eating fish, son thats not gonna happen so it may be a really nice film but its totally useless, we need solutions NOT problems, we need to solve those problems and its just an start, what would you do to make it better??

jurnalicious1 Says:

Jan 24, 2012 - Yummy! I love eating fish (mostly fresh water ones I catch myself)! They are highly nutritious, low in fat, high in protein, have essential vitamins/oils and part of a well balanced diet (sorry you misinformed preachy unnatural VEGANS).. So enjoy a fish meal today!
