Sharp fret ends, uneven frets (even a couple of loose ones), bad plastic nut, cheesy tuners, dull sounding cheap electronics/pickups. Bought it lightly used, but it needed a lot of work. I do not have an SX guitar to compare with, but my Xaviere was in my opinion a much better guitar.

After 3 hours of testing we agreed that the biggest bang for the buck, richest sound, was the Squier Deluxe Hot Rails Strat at $289. Build date was 2010. We were surprised to say the least. I bought it that day and it still holds it's magic. Go fiqure, I think it's like buying a car sometimes you get a lemon-sometimes a pearl.Cheers
