Oct 24, 2011 - In defense of Bethesda: it's common for lawyers of trademark law to sue and contest anything regarding their trademark even if the suing company knows that they like likely lose the suit. Sometimes, the lack of a contest to someone impinging on a company's claim can be viewed as a forfeit of that claim. So in layman's terms Bethesda has to sue over this to protect their Elder Scrolls trademark even though they might think it's a bogus suit. It's all a law move.
