Apr 16, 2012 - What is your definition of 'life'? We are organic machines with the primary goal to survive. He's making Plastic machines with the primary goal to survive without his help.
TeacherFlash Says:
Apr 16, 2012 - growth, cell based, metabolism and reproduction...very simple characteristics why we dont consider viruses as living beings.Same goes for this machine
WizzyBangz Says:
Apr 16, 2012 - Well to go back on your first comment, Viruses can survive and they by definition are not alive, right?
TeacherFlash Says:
Apr 16, 2012 - yes have looked up the definition of "survive" and it means "1. To remain alive or in existence."so i was wrong, yes... dead part of nature can also survive but that again that does not make it alive.

rngwrldngnr Says:
May 22, 2012 - I see this was not a particularly original comment. Carry on.
ynnebbenny Says:
May 27, 2012 - By the definition of :figurative" and poetic license. Not only this a jelly fish just survives for its own sake, having no greater purpose, and we call it alive. So I guess these are alive from a few points of view.
