May 1, 2011 - It is like a sustainer guitar on steroids. The string have an extra steel content so that the magnets pick them up better. The moog filters in it are amazing. It also has a piezo pick-up in it. I own one. Trust me. It is amazing.

May 31, 2011 - I read about this a while ago. It's not midi or post FX. If I understand it correctly, the pick ups actually generate vibration to sustain the note, and can generate counter-vibration (think noise cancelling headphones) to mute a note.
