psillyme1 Says:
Jan 30, 2012 - Yeah, def can mix Trance and Dubstep.. though it can be kinda tricky to do a proper drop, since the two styles are drastically different. I think Trance goes up to on around 145. The stuff I listen to ranges from 128-142, while the average is about 135ish. Check out my channel if you wanna hear mixes that I have thrown together. Only have one up now, but will get more up when I have time.

Feb 26, 2012 - yeah I thought the exact same thing when I saw that :P this works too for a lot of tunes though.
DennisVlaanderen Says:
Feb 26, 2012 - not 100% true, most commercial Trance is yes, but even in 1998 and earlier there were tunes at 132 BPM. There are still 135-142 BPM tunes out there just not as much on the huge labels anymore. Just look further than Armada and Anjuna and there are loads of 135+ BPM tracks still being released. More than 132 BPM to be honest.

RandomHouseOfMute Says:
Mar 30, 2012 - Ikr, that would be awesome. Then people would LOVE to go to music class. But I think the whole reason why they have the most boring songs in music classes is because they just want you to know the basics.
KimKoomKum Says:
Apr 9, 2012 - Depends what kind of trance music you are talking about... There are trance tracks (psychedelic trance for example) that are easily above 145 bpm and all the way up to 150 bpm sometimes. And some of the labels that release them are very big in the scene (like Hommega, Spun, Twisted, TIP, etc)... So if u mean fully commercial trance that Tiesto plays, then yes. But trance is not just that: there is progressive trance, psytrance, tech-trance, and so on!... So...
