To get php and apache installed use xampp.xampp is free and contains php / apache (around 33mb)1. Download and Install XAMPP from here:http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html2. on windows go to C:\xamppit should have a folder called htdocs. Feb 17, 2012 - jimmy .. the xampp opens as a disk even before it was in the app folder .. is that okay?? does that mean it over writed the built in apache files or does that link to the xampp server as a link ?? and is that why there r security issues with it because it networks us to the xampp server?... is wampp a self directed portable disk link? and not an independent application??????? perhaps its not an independent server but a server extension to os distributor of choice
