May 24, 2012 - Interesting. I think you have a point, but I'd have to disagree somewhat. Blind patriotism can give government a backing for war as it often does, but I think the 'root' for perpetuating the 'end-less' war on terror that the US government is currently involved in is more of a money thing. Constant conflict gives reason to keep industries associated with the military alive and thriving. That seems more the reason than any other. As far as alliances go, I like the go the Thomas Jefferson route.
