Jan 24, 2012 - "The Divine One" had such a magnificent voice -- such range and depth. But this video was not shot in 1990, This is from her performances at the "Satin Doll" in Tokyo in 1985. Her last performances were in NY in 1989. By 1990, she was too ill to perform. She died in April 1990 of lung cancer at age 66. A sad, sad day for the world of music.

Apr 27, 2012 - i dont have lots of regrets in life ...but never having heard Ms. Vaughan live is a one of the few regrets i have. i agree about the sadness of the day....i think for my generation Teena Marie is the voice ...not equals but great in her own right....both gone too soon
