Jun 15, 2010 - i found amiri's poem SOmebody Blew Up America, distasteful, racist, and repugnant.
Conail23 Says:
Jun 15, 2010 - @sparksdini, ur racism is showing, you just prove the point about how bigotted Amiri and his followers are.
ximilixaca Says:
Jul 24, 2010 - then why the HELL are you here?
Conail23 Says:
Jul 24, 2010 - @ximilixaca, why shouldn't I be here? WHy shouldn't people's public work be subject to scrutiny and criticism? So your message is that I either love everything the racist has to say or else don't observe his work!? What a load of crap that is!
ximilixaca Says:
Jul 24, 2010 - simple concept....you dont go to someone's performance or appearance (in person) and boo them...its COMMON decency! That you seem to lack. Oh...and by your simple little comment "racist" I know your a proud white supremacist...but its ok, I coexist even with Satan himsel
Conail23 Says:
Jul 25, 2010 - @ximilixaca, what irrational nonsense! I am a white surpemacist since I called HIM a racist! Yeah, that's an air-tight argument! haha Jus because u don't like what I have to say doesn't mean you can just deamonize me and say I'm a white supremacist. I do not appreciate the ignorant ideas of white supremacy anymore than I do the ignorant and counterproductive trash from black supremacists! We're all just human beings dude, get over it!

Oct 22, 2010 - : Pablo Neruda was Latino - chilean.... Neruda > this ass clown!!! Show this crap to people from Latin America, they will gaga and puke as well!!!! Even Latinos see that this is nothing but "crackhead poetry" by overrated hobos!!! Asi que ve y chinga a tu madre culero azno de mierda..... seguro eres un orangutan como este supuesto poeta.
PacoHammad Says:
Oct 22, 2010 - T.S Eliot, Pablo Neruda, Octavio Paz, Whitman, Frost, Poe, etc > than this ass clown!!!! In the interest of being "inclusive," - people have degraded themselves to pander to racist crackheads who bring our their white guilt. This is not poetry... it's what a drunk, crackhead hobo will utter outside a sub station. I'm surprised this "poet" did not show up wit his crack pipe. If this is poetry, my turds smeared on a wall = post-modern art.
PacoHammad Says:
Oct 22, 2010 - Amiri Baraka - chinga tu madre pinche wey de mierda.... esta basura me hace vomitar..... Yuk!!!! Que mierda es asno, este burro mal creado....

Oct 22, 2010 - I suggest UC Berkley extends an invite to this one homeless person I saw near a sub station on a business trip to NY recently. His talent is to fart uncontrollably and non-stop. He is a great poet. Berkeley would be honored to have his poetry exhibited on campus. I'm sure there is an added bonus with the olfactory aura to it and it accompanied aroma.
WarezDaBeef Says:
Oct 22, 2010 - I'm glad I didn't attend Berkeley. The campus reeks of urine, pot, & Birkenstock pseudo-intellectuals who want 2 give a voice to all (the oppressed). B4 any of U utter UR hate, I'M NOT A REPUBLICAN. As a fiscal/civil libertarian, I even protested when Mahmoud "I'ma Blow U up" (deranged prez of Iran) was invited to speak at Columbia (my grad school Alma Matter). I recently became aware of this "wanna be" poet. I understand at one point he advocated the killing of white people. Sickening!!!

PedoRasul571 Says:
Nov 17, 2010 - , perhaps your English professor should have introduced you to Yeats, Whitman, Frost, or any great poet rather than to some angry, ranting piece of crap. In the name of diversity and inclusiveness, mediocre hacks are now called great artists and poets. How sickening it is!

Jan 15, 2011 - U must be one of those blood sucking Vampire Baraka was talking about at 30:00

Apr 14, 2011 - @WarezDaBeef, Some people don't need to deny politics. You know what I think? You're ashamed. You don't like this guy's poetry, but you can't tell why. So you poke fun at colleges, like all these old English teachers in a library are no different from the potheads they have the misfortune of teaching. You jump to Islamophobia, like that makes you less Republican and more libertarian somehow. And I didn't hear any talk of shooting honkies for being honkies. Maybe you just don't know poetry.
brandon1ucas Says:
Nov 7, 2011 - amiri baraka, a hack? Some people that commented here need to go back to school. He's probably one of the greatest African American poets since Langston Hughes. Maybe he's just ahead of his time...
DwiteTheSpriteKnight Says:
Nov 19, 2011 - The poetry starts at 8 mins and 51 secs in.

Hennersthedeafmute Says:
Jan 15, 2012 - easily one of the most interesting poets of the 20th century, a true revolutionary pushing every boundary he finds, but always willing to apologise when he finds a line and feels he's crossed it.
ambassadorportal Says:
May 5, 2012 - I write and teach poetry and lit and whatever you think of AB's politics and social ideas he is a VERY SKILLED poet, not a hack.
