Oct 17, 2009 - when you find the derivative of y=xsin2x, why you times 2 after cos2x?
Pandaraunt Says:
Feb 25, 2010 - because the argument 2x inside of the 2nd arguement of sin. because of this you have to apply the chain rule. because of this you must take the derivative of the "outside" arguement and multiply it by the derivative of the "inside":outside: sin = cosinside: 2x = 2(1) = 2then combine the arguements: 2cos2xso altogether with sum derivatives you gety=sin2x + 2xcos2x
