May 25, 2012 - Good points but what do you mean "it doesn't repeat the same riff every three seconds"? The whole SONG is just a few riffs repeated over and over again. It's a good riff, but you can't really say they didn't repeat it every few seconds.

May 29, 2012 - Well you are correct there, I'll give you that. :) It's repetitive, but not excruciatingly repetitive like most of the stuff on the radio today. At least Collective Soul changes things up some throughout the song. Most modern songs have the same five notes /chord progressions throughout the entirety of the song. I guess that's where I was going with that lol :)

May 29, 2012 - Yeah, my bad on that one lol It is a little repetitive but not so much that it's to the point that it would take the creativity of the average banana to come up with the whole song. At least it's not 5 minutes of only 5 different notes. It wasn't the timing of the riffs, it was more of a matter of how often they were repeated. Repetition is alright as long as the same thing isn't played 900 times in the same song. Know what I mean? lol.
