I too speculated about the sounds until I talked to people who would know because they've heard it all before, starting years ago. This is nothing more than the oil and gas industry building lease roads and the sounds are heavy earth moving equipment and wood chippers. If you've never seen or heard a lease road being built, you wouldn't know.
