Aug 31, 2011 - ya she just forgot to put a decimal point, you're right
jesslima19 Says:
Sep 6, 2011 - the 100 she was talking about has to do with scientific notation which has different rules.... it isnt like significant figures. meaning: gotta study the topic better!
jesslima19 Says:
Sep 6, 2011 - yeah she is all right, i had to refresh my memory. havent studied that in a while

Oct 2, 2011 - At 4:23, it should be 6.7, not 6.8. She goofed.

Nov 15, 2011 - At 3:20Does 100 have 3 sig figs? Or 1?
dukuzimana Says:
Dec 1, 2011 - I had the same question! Anyways She did a very great job!!!
swimfishdance4 Says:
Dec 8, 2011 - It will depend on whether the 100 has a decimal point after it. For example, 100. has three sig figs but if you just wrote 100 it would only have one sig fig.

Dec 9, 2011 - I bet her mother is so proud. She gives such a good presentation and is very scientific. I think about Newt (Gunray) Gingrich and what he said about poor people laying at home and not wanting to work. If everyone had access to education and good jobs nearly everyone would be working, who wouldn't want a job like her's. When two people can work full time and be eligble for foodstamps such persons are discouraged, we need a living wage and access to resources for our children's education.

Dec 12, 2011 - That is what I was wondering.
bakerlavino Says:
Jan 11, 2012 - .....since she is discussing 100 under the heading "exact numbers," she is considering 100 to be an exact number - therefore, it would be considered to have 3 sig figs. I understand the confusion because 100 written without the decimal point is normally considered to be only 1 sig fig. Hope this clarifies what she is explaining.
bakerlavino Says:
Jan 11, 2012 - ......i agree.......quite perky
shivanshu3 Says:
Jan 11, 2012 - if she is discussing 100 as an exact number, it should actually be infinite number of sig figs, not 3. for example the number 2 has infinite number of sig figs too.
PunkigJones10 Says:
Feb 1, 2012 - That's what I thought.. thanks for clearing that up!
Mo7au Says:
Feb 13, 2012 - 100 has only one sig. ---- 100. has 3 sigs.

Apr 11, 2012 - At multiplication/division the first example. Shouldn't it be 6.7? Oceanpacifica 1968 thinks so too. Overall this is very helpful, thank you!
