May 18, 2012 - Are you a Christian? Since, what makes it that you want to prove anything in Gods name the way you do? btw, it goes not out on a persons orientation, it goes on the person him-/herself. The way you aren't openminded and the way you express yourself about things, is just childish. You should honsetly grow up.Love is Love, get over it.

May 23, 2012 - 1)what about straight couples with infertile parents?2)Because straight couples only make straight kids? Then why are there any gays at all?3)Sperm donations are common enough. There's even a bank for that. And there is adoption, you know.4)Well, not everyone is religious. And those who are, believe enough in God to think he'll love them regardless of their sexuality.5)My best friend's dad died when she was really young. She's perfectly okay now.6)Like they didn't with interracial marriages?

May 25, 2012 - When I heard about the amount of American teenagers kicked out of their homes for being gay and ending up homeless, I couldn't believe it at first...

May 25, 2012 - I love your comment and totally agree. I've been labelled a lesbian before just because I cut my hair really short (I found this hilarious). Good to know there are more of us out there! :)
DInsanity17 Says:
May 26, 2012 - I am literally about to cut my hair to a pixie hair cut and people are already calling me a lesbian for it. And I haven't even cut my hair yet.....but it's just hair! It'll grow back, I keep saying, but some people take symbolism to the extreme and their bigotry is astonishing.
DInsanity17 Says:
May 26, 2012 - "We could never adapt to new social norms" - well, we once segregated "colored" people from "white" people (which is still appalling), and now look where we are! Barack Obama (PRESIDENT!), Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, etc.....Imagine if one day you woke up, found the love of your life, and someone makes a law saying you could never really be together. Please, try to be empathetic.
DInsanity17 Says:
May 26, 2012 - This question was not directed at me, but because of free speech and I feel like answering, I will, considering you've already voiced your opinion. The definition of marriage is different to everyone, as it should be. To me, it's a celebration of love between two people who genuinely love each other unconditionally and would stand by each other through sickness and health; thick and thin. Giving a law to lovers is ridiculous, for love is a higher law unto itself.
BookWarrior9 Says:
May 26, 2012 - Very true & it's very sad that some people are so close minded. I found it was the girls who were most shocked and dismayed by my haircut (I had a pixie at first, but I've since cut it shorter). The guys as a general rule found it hot, lol. Btw, if possible, find a hairdresser who will support you in your decision, but give you advice on the best cut for your face type. My current hairdresser loves cutting my hair & thinks short hair suits me perfectly. Not all hairdressers react like that.

May 26, 2012 - Continued: I love having short hair & I bet you will too. Best of luck! :)

May 26, 2012 - I love and agree with the content of your comments on this video. It is a pleasure to come across someone so well spoken in a comments section, especially on youtube. It is, sadly, often hard to find. Thank you! :)

DInsanity17 Says:
May 27, 2012 - That truly made my day and made me smile, because I am usually surrounded by VERY conservative people, who want me to listen to their opinions, but won't even give me the time of day. I really hope as time goes by, we learn to be more open-minded and shove all our bigotedness aside. Thank you for the advice about the hair cut! I'm actually very excited for it because to me, it indicates a new chapter in my life of being my out-spoken self and standing up for what's right!
BookWarrior9 Says:
May 27, 2012 - I sympathize. I had a real problem with those who felt that, because I was young, they should be listened to & only their opinions mattered. Have hope & continue to work on honing your skill with writing. Sometimes, with the right words, you can change or open someone's mind. Ironically, the less judgmental you are to others & their opinions, the better they listen, lol. Btw, I had exactly that experience when I cut my hair. Suddenly, it was so much easier to be out spoken, whereas before I had
BookWarrior9 Says:
May 27, 2012 - Continued: been rather shy for a long time. It's a bit of a shock at first, especially if your hair is long, but it is well worth it, in my opinion. I felt lighter. Also, especially for short hair, see if you can find pictures of someone(s) with your face shape with the approximate haircut you want, front and back. Then you will have a better idea of what will look good on you & something you can show your hairdresser. Think of it as a base though. Every person/face is different & haircuts
BookWarrior9 Says:
May 27, 2012 - Continued: should always be modified to accentuate YOUR features. Good luck and let me know how it goes! And I'm glad I could make your day. :)
