I found it was the girls who were most shocked and dismayed by my haircut (I had a pixie at first, but I've since cut it shorter). The guys as a general rule found it hot, lol. Btw, if possible, find a hairdresser who will support you in your decision, but give you advice on the best cut for your face type. My current hairdresser loves cutting my hair & thinks short hair suits me perfectly. Not all hairdressers react like that.

May 27, 2012 - Continued: been rather shy for a long time. It's a bit of a shock at first, especially if your hair is long, but it is well worth it, in my opinion. I felt lighter. Also, especially for short hair, see if you can find pictures of someone(s) with your face shape with the approximate haircut you want, front and back. Then you will have a better idea of what will look good on you & something you can show your hairdresser. Think of it as a base though. Every person/face is different & haircuts
